Choose a green alternative

Greensulate™ is currently under development, with funding from the New York State Energy
Research Development Authority and the Environmental Protection Agency. Greensulate will be
available in 2011 in the following applications:

Standard sized insulation sheets

We plan to produce Greensulate™ in standard 4'x8’ sheets of various thicknesses for use in new commercial and residential construction. This application is great for above-ground exterior insulation, roof insulation, and floor insulation.

Custom insulation panels

Greensulate™ can be cut using normal woodworking tools to fit any size you need. We can also grow Greensulate™ into almost any custom size and shape you need for your special application.

Structural Insulating Panels (SIPS)

Greensulate™ is stronger than many synthetic foams, making it ideal for structural insulating panels. Structural Insulating Panels represent one of the most energy efficient building systems in the world, but they currently rely on a fundamentally unsustainable foam core. We are working with NYSERDA and the EPA to develop a fully tested SIP building system that utilizes Greensulate™ as the core material.
