Production Operator

Ecovative Design is seeking Production Operators to join our amazing team! The Production Operator will primarily be involved in the processing of Ecovative's Mushroom Material, through the various manufacturing stages including production through shipping. The Production Operator will operate various types of machinery, produce and assemble products, and perform tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The Production Operator is also required to maintain an orderly workspace, track production data and maintain documentation, in addition to cleaning the work area, tools, and equipment. The Operator must be diligent with a good eye for detail; both safety and team-oriented, as well as prompt and reliable.

Minimum Requirements

Experience in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on quality controls, safety, and cleanliness is a must. The ability to perform physical labor (packaging, lifting, etc.) is necessary. Computer competency and documentation skills are also needed. The willingness to change/adapt to new processes, procedures, or work requirements will help in day to day operations. Diligence with a good eye for detail through task completion is a must. Consistent work ethic and being proactive, taking the necessary initiative to get the job done, will lead to a successful applicant.

Preferred Requirements

The understanding of aseptic technique and basic biology along with a passion for a sustainable work and life environment is desirable. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and efficiency principles is also an asset. Forklift experience and/or a CDL license are also preferred.

Production Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for running the equipment and machines to create and finish our products. The Operator will also be responsible for collecting and recording quality data as well as performing preventative maintenance.

Minimum requirements

  • Two years hydraulic press (or similar press) experience. Operator/Technician experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with an emphasis on quality controls, safety, and cleanliness. Ability to perform physical labor (packaging, lifting, etc.). Computer competency. Willingness to change/adapt to new processes, procedures, or work requirements. Diligent with a good eye for detail. Product Engineer

Ecovative Design is seeking to hire a technically skilled Product Engineer to collaborate with Product leads to move product opportunities through their technical development arcs, from solution generation to completed product in the customer’s hands. This includes working interdepartmentally, aiding with design and engineering tasks as the product moves from prototype to finished part.  Successful candidates will be creative in their work to collaborate with Product leads to find economical and functional methods of expanding our current product offerings to help the Sales team broaden their addressable market.  The Product Engineer will conduct research and development of process, design and fabricate customer specific product solutions, generate 3D CAD models, and perform hard and soft tooling.  This role will also modify, troubleshoot, and maintain heated hydraulic platen presses.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent training and experience.  
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas, listen, and collaborate.  
  • Must be detail oriented, self-directed, proactive, and able to schedule tasks independently.  
  • Ability to fabricate tooling in-house using CNC mill/router
  • Competency with CAD programs , including Solidworks, Rhino, and MasterCAM for use in product modeling and hard/soft tooling design/fabrication
  • Familiarity with CNC processes and large equipment, specifically CNC routers, table saw, mill


Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience in packing design.  
  • Experience with finishing techniques, such as powder coating, painting, edge banding
  • Metal working skills and working knowledge of general machining practices and standards.
  • Die and tooling fabrication experience such as casting, thermoforming, injection molding, forging and stamping.

Quality Testing Technician

Ecovative is seeking to hire a Quality Testing Technician to evaluate materials for key metrics and ensure our materials meet customer expectations.  The Technician will measure parts, make observations and operate an Instron machine system to test parts for various characteristics. This role will also enhance the Quality department by exploring new testing methods and procedures.
