The Engineering Technician is a highly skilled fabricator who is also a master of testing and troubleshooting. Working closely with the Engineering team, they will participate in problem solving and process improvements on existing and new equipment.
- Competent in MIG and/or TIG welding
- Skilled in manual lathe and manual mill operation
- Understanding of CNC commands and concepts
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions, mechanical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, lay-out work and material lists
- High School Diploma
- Able to frequently perform work where they will be standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, reaching, working in tight or awkward locations
- Comfortable working on ladders or elevated work platforms
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Creative problem solver
- Great multitasker
- Willing to work overtime and weekends (if required)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- 3 plus years experience troubleshooting and working with industrial electronics and controls
- Associates or trade degree in manufacturing, machining, building trades, engineering or related field
- Fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
- Three plus years experience with drafting software/computer aided design
- Competency and comfortability with Solidworks
- Competency and comfortability with Mastercam and/or Rhino
- Willing to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (if required to support engineers)
- Pneumatic knowledge/experience
- Experience working with steam/boilers
Research and Development Engineer
Ecovative is looking for an Engineer with a background in process controls. Working closely with the Engineering team and R&D scientists, this engineer will develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify equipment that is utilized by our lab staff to produce Mushroom Materials.
Very comfortable working with electrical and mechanical equipment
Very comfortable programming and tuning PID controllers
Experience making durable electrical connections and cabling
Experience with PID controlled systems
Experience specifying and installing industrial sensors and controllers
Experience working in a machine shop including fabricating brackets, mounts and other simple parts
Experience troubleshooting machines
PLC and HMI programming experience
Able to read, understand, and create electrical diagrams
Able to frequently perform work where they will be standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, reaching, working in tight or awkward locations
Able to lift 50 pounds
Creative problem solver
Strong documentation and organization skills
Strong communications skills / teamwork skills
Very self-directed (you will have to work autonomously to identify and solve problems to keep things running smoothly without much direction)

Experience with Green houses or other growth chambers. Particularly those with automatic control systems

Production Operators at Ecovative are responsible for many aspects of our Production process including equipment operation, inventory tracking and quality control. Candidates must have an eye for detail and be independently motivated to work quickly and efficiently. Successful employees at Ecovative consistently work toward process optimization, have an appetite for learning, and are open-minded.
Experience in a production role with an emphasis on quality controls, safety, and cleanliness; sense of urgency; ability to make quick decisions; willingness to change/adapt to new processes, procedures, or work requirements; ability to perform physical labor (packaging, lifting, etc.); awareness of product flow. HS Diploma. Excellent team player as well as independently motivated to take pride in the work that needs to be done and remain focused on the task at hand.
Experience in a quickly evolving and changing manufacturing environment or production line; Associates degree in biology or other related field; mechanical aptitude; forklift driver certification; an interest in sustainability; strong in numbers and calculations; aseptic experience; lean manufacturing experience. Database, reporting, and inventory tracking experience.
Accounts Payable Clerk
Part time position (15 hours per week)
Gain great experience working in a finance and accounting setting while helping our team ensure complete financial records. The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform administrative functions including mailing, filing, copying, scanning as well as maintain spreadsheets and binders and will contact vendors when necessary.
HS Diploma, 6 months clerical experience in an accounting setting, familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, general computer experience, and excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
1 year clerical experience in an accounting setting with a focus on purchasing and accounts payable.
