Ecovative Design is seeking Production Operators to join our amazing team! The Production Operator will primarily be involved in the processing of Ecovative's Mushroom Material, through the various manufacturing stages including production through shipping. The Production Operator will operate various types of machinery, produce and assemble products, and perform tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The Production Operator is also required to maintain an orderly workspace, track production data and maintain documentation, in addition to cleaning the work area, tools, and equipment. The Operator must be diligent with a good eye for detail; both safety and team-oriented, as well as prompt and reliable.
Experience in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on quality controls, safety, and cleanliness is a must. The ability to perform physical labor (packaging, lifting, etc.) is necessary. Computer competency and documentation skills are also needed. The willingness to change/adapt to new processes, procedures, or work requirements will help in day to day operations. Diligence with a good eye for detail through task completion is a must. Ecovative Design is seeking to hire a Quality Technician to perform quality control analysis specific related to Ecovative’s critical aspects of production. Quality testing responsibilities will include microscopic analysis, optimization and maintenance of inventory, labeling and organizing stock, and QC checks for biological viability, and quality of shipping environment. Technician will explore and optimize new and existing QC protocols and microscopic explorations of materials. Additional quality projects will include analysis of biological and environmental samples and data, regular communication of assessment results, documentation and report writing, and occasional presentations.
Degree in biological science or related field with biological testing experience; excellent at collecting and organizing large data sets efficiently and effectively with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional record keeping and note taking abilities. Successful candidates are able to communicate concerns proactively as issues arise related to samples, methodology, or data. Must be able to work independently and as a team member, manage task lists and timelines effectively, troubleshoot and resolve simple issues, and effectively communicate scientific methodologies and results. Must be a quick learner and must be flexible to changing needs. Must have proficiencies with basic math, MS Excel, Google Docs, and relevant computer applications. Candidates must have some biological background and experience with aseptic technique, culturing and microscopy and be familiar with the scientific process.

The Machine Operator is responsible for running the equipment and machines to create and finish our products. The Operator will also be responsible for collecting and recording quality data as well as performing preventative maintenance.
The Materials Processing and Research Technician will operate equipment to process raw materials as well as create prototypes to inform raw material selection for product development.
Ecovative Design is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician to support the Engineering team and production operation. The primary role of this position is facility maintenance including maintaining machines and tools, ordering consumables, creating and maintaining spare parts inventory, and troubleshooting automated systems during production to minimize production downtime. The Engineering Technician will provide feedback to the company about shop and maintenance needs and work with facility Engineers to implement larger scale equipment / process overhauls and/or upgrades.
Associates degree, preferably in an engineering related field and two (2) year’s experience in an engineering technical support role. Must have basic computer skills and reliable transportation between multiple facilities. Ecovative Design is seeking to hire a Product Engineering Technician to support the Product Engineering team through tooling, fabricating, shop maintenance, and prototyping to design and create effective products. This role translates designs, creates machined molds, and supports the prototyping process. The Engineering Technician will serve as the technology transfer liaison for tooling and collaborating with partners including vendors and consultants. This position will participate in the development of standards and protocols for improving prototype creation efficiencies. This role works collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve and optimize product quality.
Must have CAD software experience and/or knowledge with an understanding of 3D geometry, shaping, and materials. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and learn new job functions. Must be comfortable mechanically and with the use of power tools. Ecovative is searching for a Procurement and Customer Service Specialist who has superb organization skills both in their ability to process and track complex transactions efficiently, as well as coordinating with stakeholders in all departments of a fast moving organization. This role is responsible for all aspects of the purchasing process including receiving the request, sourcing items, entering data to Quickbooks and completing appropriate forms. In addition the position will manage orders received from Ecovative’s customers and serve as a customer point of contact for order updates. Working with the product and manufacturing groups they will ensure orders are properly accounted for in our electronic systems. Those with the ability to manage many priorities and adjust to changing customer and internal needs will thrive in this position.
